چکیده
Over the past decades, remote sensing satellite sensors have significantly increased their performance and, at same time, differed in characteristics. Therefore, making data repeatable over time and uniform with respect to different platforms has become one of most challenging issues obtain a representation intrinsic characteristics observed target. In this context, atmospheric correction role cleaning signal from unwanted contributions moving sensor radiance quantity more closely related properties target, such as ground reflectance. To end, procedures must consider number factors, specific scene acquired sensor. mountainous environments, include topographic level compensate for effects that heavily affect signal. paper, we want estimate impact on images based statistical analysis, using under illumination conditions sensors. We also show benefits introducing second products PRISMA L2C reflectance, which currently do not implement it.

Evaluation and Comparison of Topographic Correction Models Is Applied on the Series Landsat Images Using Spectrometery Data
The effect of topography on the radiance record in satellite image, probably reduce the accuracy of algorithem impliementation on the images . Therefore, to reduce the effect of topography, various correction models based on interaction between light and object needs to be defined. This research introduces lombertin correction model (Cosine model) and non_lombertin correction model (mineart and...
متن کاملAssessing the Accuracy of Automatically Extracted Shorelines on Microtidal Beaches from Landsat 7, Landsat 8 and Sentinel-2 Imagery
This paper evaluates the accuracy of shoreline positions obtained from the infrared (IR) bands of Landsat 7, Landsat 8, and Sentinel-2 imagery on natural beaches. A workflow for sub-pixel shoreline extraction, already tested on seawalls, is used. The present work analyzes the behavior of that workflow and resultant shorelines on a micro-tidal (<20 cm) sandy beach and makes a comparison with oth...
متن کاملEvaluation of different topographic correction methods for Landsat imagery
The recent free availability of Landsat historical data provides new potentials for land-cover change studies. Multi-temporal studies require a previous radiometric and geometric homogenization of input images, to better identify true changes. Topographic normalization is one of the key steps to create consistent and radiometricly stable multi-temporal time series, since terrain shadows change ...
متن کاملEfficiency of Spectral Indices Derived from Landsat-8 Images of Maharloo Lake and Its Surrounding Rangelands
Maharloo Lake is one of the salty lakes located in the southeast of Fars province, Iran. Presence of salt domes has a significant role in its salinity. Magnesium-sodium chloride and sodium sulfate are dominant salts of the lake. Due to the drying up of lake, widespread lands surrounding the area are exposed to secondary salinity. It seems necessary to investigate the changes to find salinity le...
متن کاملPreliminary Comparison of Sentinel-2 and Landsat 8 Imagery for a Combined Use
The availability of new generation multispectral sensors of the Landsat 8 and Sentinel-2 satellite platforms offers unprecedented opportunities for long-term high-frequency monitoring applications. The present letter aims at highlighting some potentials and challenges deriving from the spectral and spatial characteristics of the two instruments. Some comparisons between corresponding bands and ...
